Former U.S. President Donald Trump could make an appearance at a Manhattan federal court to attend a trial in former Elle magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll’s civil lawsuit against him for alleged defamation and battery.
After Trump denied Carroll’s rape allegations relating to the mid-1990s, Carroll sued Trump over his October 2022 social media post where he called the rape claim a hoax, lie, con job, and scam.
